If your hire car is stolen, tell the police, Autofusion and the partner immediately, and no later than 24 hours. You pay the full excess shown on your booking.

Report the theft to the police and get a crime reference number
Call Autofusion on +44 141 899 0009
Keep the keys and hand them back to the partner

When cover is void

If the keys were left in or with the car, the insurance doesn't apply and you pay the full value. See what is considered negligence.

Am I covered for breakdowns?

Yes. Breakdown cover is included as standard by Autofusion partners. If the car breaks down, contact the partner or Autofusion and we'll make sure a replacement car is provided for the rest of your hire.

What should I do in case of an accident?

Make sure everyone is safe, call the police if anyone is injured, photograph everything and report the accident to Autofusion within 24 hours.

Is there an excess amount?

Yes. Every car on Autofusion has an insurance excess, shown on the listing before you book. It's usually between £6,000 and £25,000 depending on the car, and it's the most you pay towards damage or theft covered by the insurance.

What happens if I lose the keys?

Lost or damaged keys are not covered by the insurance, so you pay the replacement cost, usually £300 to £750 depending on the manufacturer. Tell Autofusion and the partner straight away.
