Am I covered for breakdowns?

Yes. Breakdown cover is included as standard by Autofusion partners. If the car breaks down, contact the partner or Autofusion and we'll make sure a replacement car is provided for the rest of your hire.

When you pay

Breakdowns caused by negligence, such as using the wrong fuel, aren't covered. See what happens if the breakdown is my fault.

What should I do in case of an accident?

Make sure everyone is safe, call the police if anyone is injured, photograph everything and report the accident to Autofusion within 24 hours.

What happens if I lose the keys?

Lost or damaged keys are not covered by the insurance, so you pay the replacement cost, usually £300 to £750 depending on the manufacturer. Tell Autofusion and the partner straight away.

Is there an excess amount?

Yes. Every car on Autofusion has an insurance excess, shown on the listing before you book. It's usually between £6,000 and £25,000 depending on the car, and it's the most you pay towards damage or theft covered by the insurance.

Do I need to report minor damage?

Yes. Report any damage to Autofusion within 24 hours, however small, including scratches, scuffs, dents and kerbed wheels. Unreported damage found at return can still be charged, and it's harder to resolve fairly.
