Negligence is careless or reckless use of the car that the insurance won't cover. On Autofusion this includes using the wrong fuel, track use, letting an unnamed person drive, drink or drug driving, careless or dangerous driving, and leaving the keys in or with the car.
What happens
The insurance and any excess reduction are void, and you pay the full cost of the damage, recovery and repairs.
Examples
- Putting petrol in a diesel car, or the reverse
- Taking the car on a track day
- Leaving keys in an unlocked car
- Speeding or racing

Read the fuel guidance and only let named drivers drive.
