Yes. Businesses can hire cars for staff to drive, for a single trip or long term. Every driver must pass the same licence and ID checks and be named on the booking before they drive.
Driver requirements
- Usually aged 21 to 65, older for some high-value cars
- A full licence with up to 6 points and no serious offences in the last 5 years
- A DVLA licence check, passport and proof of address
Adding drivers
Each extra driver is added as an additional driver. Anyone not named on the booking isn't insured to drive. See can I let someone else drive the vehicle.
