Introduction
Pursuant to the United Kingdom Modern Slavery Act 2015, Autofusion Hire, on behalf of itself and its wholly owned subsidiaries, has prepared this statement to detail the actions taken to understand potential forced labour and human trafficking risks related to our business and supplier network, and to document the steps taken to mitigate any such risk.
Company Structure
Autofusion Hire and its subsidiaries make up a global transportation and mobility provider, operating vehicle hire, leasing, subscription, fleet management, and ancillary mobility services across multiple markets, including the UK and internationally. These subsidiaries provide a wide range of services to diverse customers across business, consumer, and organisational segments.
Our Commitment
Autofusion Hire is committed to maintaining and enhancing processes and systems to ensure that forced labour and human trafficking are not taking place in our business operations or global supplier network. To achieve this, we employ an integrated and comprehensive approach to assess and address potential human rights and modern slavery risks.
Forced Labour and Human Trafficking Risk Areas
Based on our assessment of sectors, suppliers, geographic regions and industry practices, we continue to consider the overall risk of forced labour and human trafficking in our operations as low.
However, potential risk may exist in certain aspects of global supply chains, including:
- Extraction of raw materials used in vehicles and equipment;
- Manufacture and assembly of electronic components and vehicle parts;
- Production of uniforms and logistics services;
- Use of independent contractors for facility services;
- Agricultural supply chains for food and beverage products.
Due Diligence and Risk Mitigation Programme
To help mitigate modern slavery and human trafficking risks, Autofusion Hire has implemented the following practices:
Awareness and Policies
- A Company Code of Conduct that explicitly prohibits forced labour and human trafficking.
- A Supplier Code of Conduct communicated to suppliers and partners, outlining expectations for compliance and ethical practices.
- Human Rights and Fair Labour Practice policies embedded into our risk and compliance frameworks.
Recruitment and Screening
- Pre-employment screening procedures, including proof of the right to work in applicable jurisdictions.
- Policies that prevent discrimination, harassment, intimidation, and confiscation of worker identification.
Supplier Engagement
- Standard contractual clauses addressing modern slavery compliance.
- Risk assessments and questionnaires for high-risk suppliers, reviewed periodically.
- Integration of anti-forced labour language in supplier agreements where appropriate.
Reporting and Monitoring
- A secure and confidential reporting mechanism (including a third-party hotline) for employees, suppliers, partners and customers.
- Regular training for employees and franchisees on anti-slavery policies and risk awareness.
Conclusion
We will continue to drive awareness of modern slavery risk among employees, suppliers, partners and franchisees, assess our global supplier network for potential concern, and take appropriate action to prevent, detect and address human trafficking and forced labour where it may be found.
